PTA - 288 Members... And Growing!
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a private, non-profit organization of parents, teachers, and community members who support the educational needs of America's youth. The mission of the Wiener/Hill Elementary PTA is to create a viable link between school and parents and provide training and information for parents so they can be involved more effectively with their children, school and community. Our PTA partners families and school through programs like Lunch With Dad, Harvest Festival, and Groovy Night. Through various fundraisers throughout the year, the PTA is able to aid teachers with classroom supply costs; assist with Field Day expenses; provide back to school and appreciation meals for teachers, staff, and parents; and assist with many other programs and events. The PTA also sponsors book drives, gift card donations, coin collections, and other events to help the less fortunate children in our community. At the 2010 Nevada PTA Convention, our PTA won the Gold Achievement Award for providing 30 programs in the following fields:
